• Accommodations

  Where is the wedding?

  Secrets Wild Orchid in Montego Bay, Jamaica. It’s about 5 miles (8 km) from Sangster International Airport (MBJ). Typically about 9 to 15-minute drive, depending on traffic. Guests must be 18 or older to enter the resort.

  Where should I book my stay?

  We encourage guests to stay at the Secrets Wild Orchid resort. The resort is all-inclusive (unlimited food and drinks) with pool and private beach access, 7 restaurants, entertainment, night club, spa, gym, and more! However, guests are welcome to reserve accommodations elsewhere. There are other resorts, villas, and Airbnbs nearby.

  How do I book my stay at Secrets Wild Orchid?

  Book directly on the Secrets Wild Orchid resort website using our group code for a discounted rate. The group code will be available soon. A 3-night minimum stay is required. For more information, check out the “Travel” tab.

  What is the best way to communicate while in Jamaica?

  WhatsApp! It’s the best way to reach us while in JA.

• Currency

  What currency should we bring?

  The local currency is Jamaican dollars (JMD), but US dollars, Visa, and MasterCard are widely accepted in Jamaica. You can also exchange for Jamaican dollars if you like, but for better rates, we recommend using local Cambios instead of airport currency exchanges. Ask your hotel (or ChatGPT!) for the one

  Do you have a gift registry?

  We’re so grateful for your love and support. Instead of a traditional registry, we’ve created a Honeymoon Fund to help us make unforgettable memories together. Contributions can be made easily under the “Honeymoon Fund” tab on our website. Thank you for helping us start this exciting new chapter!

  Can we take photos or post online?

  Ceremony is unplugged—enjoy it with us! Photos are welcome during cocktail hour and dancing, but no social media, please.

  How do I RSVP? 

  We can’t wait to celebrate with you! Please RSVP by clicking the “RSVP” tab on our website. Plus-ones will be noted there. 

  When should I RSVP by? 

  The deadline to RSVP is February 10, 2026. 

• Transportation

  What transportation options are available to get around in Jamaica?

  Guests can choose from several convenient options, including traditional taxi cabs, Uber, and private airport shuttle services.

  Is Uber available in Jamaica?

  Yes. Uber operates in Jamaica in designated areas, including around Montego Bay. Availability can vary depending on time of day and driver demand, so it’s helpful to check the app in advance.

  Are car rentals available at the airport?

  Yes. Several major international rental car companies operate directly onsite at Sangster International Airport (MBJ), making pickup and drop-off very convenient.

  Is it easy to drive in Jamaica?

  It can be, but it’s important to note driving is on the left side of the road. If you’re not comfortable with that, you may prefer taxis, Uber, or shuttle services.

  What is the best airport to fly into?

  Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, airport code MBJ.

  Do I need a passport to travel to Jamaica?

  Yes. All guests must have a valid passport to enter Jamaica. Your passport must be valid for the duration of your stay, however, some airlines prefer at least 6 months of validity, so we recommend checking your expiration date ahead of time.

  Do I need a visa to visit Jamaica?

  No visa is needed and you can stay up to 90 days.

  What is the weather like in Jamaica in May?

  May is generally warm and tropical, with temperatures in the mid-80s Fahrenheit (29-30 Celsius). At night, the temperature typically drops to the mid-to-low 70s Fahrenheit (21-24 Celsius). May marks the start of the rainy season, but many days remain dry and showers are typically brief and light.

  When is the wedding?

  May 4, 2026. Ceremony begins promptly at 4:30 pm followed by a cocktail and wedding reception.

  What time should I arrive for the wedding?

  For those guests staying at the resort, please arrive at the wedding location at 4 pm.

  Guest staying offsite, you are welcome to come at any time; however, we ask that you arrive at the resort by 3:30 pm to allow time for registration and to arrive at the wedding location. Let security know you are here for the “Williams-Charles Wedding”.

  Where is the “wedding location”?

  For guests staying at Secrets resort, you will be provided the location details when you arrive. For offsite guests, you will be directed to the wedding location upon registration when you arrive. Golf cart transportation to the wedding location is available upon request, subject to availability.

  I am staying offsite, do I need a day pass to visit the resort for the wedding?

  Yes, the resort requires all guests staying offsite to have a day pass for entry. Everything will be arranged ahead of time for you—just arrive and check in with your ID at the security gate.

  Can I bring my child to the wedding?

  Secrets is an adults-only, all-inclusive beach resort. Guests must be 18 or older to enter the resort.

  Is parking available?

  Yes. Details to come.

  Is the wedding outdoors?

  Yes, the ceremony and reception will be held outdoors. We’ll be celebrating with our toes in the sand—beachside reception with a dance floor under the stars.

  What is the wedding attire?

  Our beach wedding will be in the evening, so we invite guests to dress in elegant, semi-formal attire. Ladies may want to avoid stiletto heels and opt for a block heel, wedges, or sandals.

  What do I do if I have dietary restrictions or need accessibility accommodations?

  Please note any dietary preferences and/or accessibility needs when you submit your RSVP.

• Welcome Reception

  Will there be a welcome reception?

  Yes! We’re hosting a welcome reception on May 3, 2026. More details will be shared closer to the date.
